TMC opened in August 2021 a new little free library outside on the street frontage. Help yourself to a book and leave one (if you have one). We are also happy to take good condition modern novels and general interest books to keep our shelves stocked. Please leave them on the church front porch between 10am and and 2pm Monday to Thursday. The Graduate Choir – Balm Project Sunday 1 November 10.00 am at TMC
The Graduate Choir will be performing at Takapuna Methodist Church during its regular morning worship on Sunday 1 November at 10.00am.
Children’s Easter Craft Afternoon
Unfortunately, the Easter Craft Afternoon has been cancelled for this year due to Covid19.
When organ meets trumpet
Paul Chan, with trumpeter Jake Krishnamurti, will present an exciting programme including Prelude and Fugue in E-flat major BWV 552 by Bach, Sonata in D by Purcell, and Prayer of St Gregory by Alan Hovhaness. Jake will also play famous trumpet tunes such as Te Deum by Charpentier and Rondeau by Purcell, interspersed with organ solo works including Elizabethan Serenade, Highland Cathedral, and a Norwegian composition.
Paul is currently the organist of St Matthew-in-the-City and King’s College in Auckland. Jake is a recent graduate in classical trumpet and computer science and has performed with the APO and Auckland Youth Orchestra.
