Theme: Faithful engagement in a changing world - AI & Pentecost Leaders: Rev Peter Norman and Dr Stephen GarnerPentecost is a time when the followers of Christ look back to the formation of the first Christian communities, as well as reflecting on how church continues to live faithfully in the present through different contexts and times of change. The development and availability of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence systems like ChatGPT, are one such change to be negotiated as people of faith and wider society. These kinds of technology raise both questions about what it means to be human as well as the impact of these systems on everyday life. On 28th May, Stephen Garner will speak to this, reflecting on both the events of Pentecost and how we might live faithfully and well with technology as the people of God connected back to Pentecost.   Dr Stephen Garner is also a senior research fellow in the Australian College of Theology, and a board member of the Global Network for Digital Theology. He has a background in both computer science and theology and his research and teaching concerns theology, technology, media, and ethics. He is married to Kim and they live in West Auckland.We are now able to meet together in the church but we will continue to Live Stream our services for anyone who would like to watch from home.
