Jazz Vespers III – Music to heal and inspire. Theme this year is “The Moon”

Sunday 8th July 2018 at 7:00pm at the Takapuna Methodist Church

Jazz Vespers is a modern take on an old church service. Vespers were held in the evening, as part of the traditional daily services of the church, and served to bring the day to a spiritual end with music, prayer and repose. Such a service, but using the jazz musical genre, with NZ Jazz musicians will include:

  • A night of contagious rhythms with great musicians playing jazz standards and other moody music related to that particular heavenly body!
  • Reflective contemporary readings and music for all Faiths through Jazz.
  • A concert with a difference in response to enthusiastic acclaim in past years.

Featuring David Selfe – Piano, with Ben McNicoll – Tenor Saxophone, and Jazz singers
At Takapuna Methodist Church Cnr Lake Rd & Tennyson Ave

This is an annual event not to be missed.  Koha in aid of organ upgrade
